In 2001, the Deloras Jones RN Scholarship Program was created in honor of Deloras Jones, RN, MS, for her 34 years of leadership and dedication to education and nursing practice at Kaiser Permanente. Awards are available for approved study at affiliate schools in California.

All applicants to these awards must:

• Not be an employee or affiliated with Kaiser Permanente.
• Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Non-U.S. citizens must submit a photocopy of their Permanent Resident Card. Student visas or temporary Employment Authorizations are not accepted.
• Be a California resident enrolled in a California BRN-approved program in one of the following areas: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or entry level Master of Science in Nursing (MSN/MN)
  OR be a California resident enrolled in a CCNE-accredited post-graduate Master of Science in Nursing (MSN/MN) or Doctoral program in Nursing (PhD/DNSc/DNP).
• Have a minimum cumulative 2.50 GPA (on a 4.00 scale) for the Affiliate Schools awards, a 3.80 GPA for the Academic Excellence in Pre-licensure awards or a 3.50 GPA for the Graduate or Doctoral Studies awards.
• Meet the minimum GPA requirement in applicable nursing program coursework including at least one clinical nursing course with a clinical rotation (not a lab course) completed by August 15, 2017. All applicants must submit a transcript of grades reflecting their cumulative GPA applicable to the award category for which they are applying.
• Be enrolled at an affiliate school in Northern or Southern California during the term for which the award is granted and expect to graduate no earlier than March 1, 2018.
• Be enrolled full-time as deemed by the school for the nursing program. Applicants who have a MSN/MN degree may be considered if enrolled in an accredited non-nursing doctoral program.

Previous Deloras Jones Scholarship recipients are not eligible to apply.
