Through generous support from the California Healthcare Foundation, based in Oakland CA, National Medical Fellowships (NMF) is now offering a scholarship of $7,000 to a medical student entering their 3rd or 4th year, and who exhibits leadership and a commitment to working with underserved communities. The application for this scholarship is due is Friday, May 18th at 11:59 PM and is available online: www.nmf.fluidreview.com. Read on for eligibility requirements and FAQ!

This program provides a $7,000 scholarship to a third- or fourth-year medical student in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Eligibility requirements include:

·       Proof of U.S. citizenship or Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) approval letter

·       Currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. medical school in the state of California

·       A third- or fourth-year medical student in the upcoming 2018-2019 school year. Please note: applicants with a pre-existing profile at www.nmf.fluidreview.com should update their academic year to reflect these dates

·       Underrepresented minority student. NMF designates the following racial/ethnic groups as underrepresented minorities: African American, Hispanic/Latino, Native Americans (American Indian/Alaska Native/Native Hawaiian), Asian American (Vietnamese and Cambodian only), and Pacific Islander

·       Demonstrated leadership ability

·       Commitment to serving medically underserved communities
