Established in 2013, the Victor Grifols Roura Scholarship award provides a $8,500 scholarship to one (1) 2nd or 3rd year medical student of Black or African descent, who is currently enrolled in an accredited US medical program in California, and has demonstrated interest in Biomedicine. The awarded scholar will have the opportunity to participate in a mentorship program with a Grifols employee and will be invited to attend a upcoming NMF Los Angeles Champions of Health Awards. The mentoring program will involve a member of the Grifols Black Employee Alliance engaging the awarded recipient in periodic discussions (monthly to quarterly in frequency), coordinating opportunities to network with other industry experts internal and external to Grifols, and inviting the awarded recipient to our Grifols corporate location in Los Angeles (adhering to COVID-19 safety restrictions and protocols).
