Scholarship for nursing students

The Kentucky Nurses Foundation (KNF) established in 1975 as a 501 (c)(3) status foundation, has both a contractual and professional relationship with the Kentucky Nurses Association to enhance achievement of the strategic goals of both organizations. The Kentucky Nurses Foundation has a long history of supporting nursing scholarship and research.

  • Enrolled in a pre-licensure program, must have successfully completed 1 semester of nursing coursework, OR
  • Enrolled in a post-licensure program (MSN, NP, DNP etc.) showing evidence of acceptance in the program of advance study.
  • A one page written description of why you are applying, and what receiving the KNF Scholarship would mean to you.
  • Letters of support of the application by two (2) members of the program of nursing faculty.
  • A signed/dated agreement statement that commits the scholarship recipient to participate in 1 of 2 options for informing individuals /groups about the KNF Scholarship program between October 2015 and October 2016.
  • The 2015 KNF Scholarship Awards will be presented to the recipients during the Kentucky Nurses Association Education Summit on October 2, 2015 at Embassy Suites Hotel, 1801 Newtown Pike, Lexington, KY 40511. The recipients and the program of nursing chairpersons will be notified in advance in order to arrange for attendance at the awards ceremony.
