The Pisacano Leadership Foundation (PLF) seeks to advance family medicine by providing well-educated, community-minded leaders in primary care.  By aiding students who demonstrate the highest levels of commitment to family medicine, scholarship, leadership, character, interpersonal skills, and community service, the PLF will promote the development of the future leaders in the specialty. The scholarship is intended to reduce the level of medical-school-related-debt, financial need is not considered.

• Must be a fourth year DO in the 2015-2016 academic year
• Must have declared family medicine as their specialty
• Selection criteria will look at commitment to family medicine, leadership qualities, academic performance, interpersonal skills, communication skills, and involvement in serving others
• Each applicant is required to complete an interview with a local family physician
