| A scholarship opportunity for current third year medical students. |
|
The American Medical Association (AMA) Foundation, with support from the AMA Alliance, has created the Physicians of Tomorrow Award to ease medical students' burdensome debt load. Each medical school can nominate one person for each of the scholarship categories.
|
|
-
All nominees for each of the above Physicians of Tomorrow Awards must be rising fourth-year students (third year students who are approaching their final year of medical school).
-
If a student is in a five-year program, they can be nominated either at the end of their third year or prior to their final year in medical school.
-
They must be currently enrolled in an accredited U.S. medical school.
-
Nominees must be permanent residents or citizens of the United States.
-
Note that AMA membership or non-membership is not taken into consideration at all when determining the recipients.
-
Each medical school may submit one nominee for each of the two national Physicians of Tomorrow Award opportunities (i.e., each school may submit up to two nominees total).
