In the spirit of WesternU-COMP's ongoing mission to graduate primary care physicians, the faculty has established the Rural Health Track Option (RHTO) for its enrolled COMP-Northwest DO students.
In partnership with the Oregon Office of Rural Health, COMP-Northwest is now participating in the Rural Health Track Option for OMS III and OMS IV students. This is a scholarship up to $35,000 per year for students seeking to practice in rural Oregon. As indicated in the overview, a year of service in a rural designated site per year of scholarship is required.
