A scholarship opportunity for an American and Alaskan Native graduate professional student

The American Indian Graduate Center (AIGC) is a national private 501(c)(3) non profit headquartered in Albuquerque, New Mexico providing fellowships to American Indian and Alaska Native graduate students throughout the United States. Established in 1969, AIGC has disbursed more than 15,000 graduate fellowships with the support of the Bureau of Indian Education, corporate and foundation partnerships, and our generous alumni and private donors.

  • Pursuing a post-baccalaureate graduate or professional degree as a full time student at an accredited institution in the U.S.;
  • Able to demonstrate financial need through submission of the AIGC Financial Need Form (FNF), and;
  • An enrolled member of a federally recognized American Indian or Alaska Native group, or provide documentation of descent (possess one-fourth degree verifiable federally recognized Indian blood) as verified through submission of a Tribal Eligibility Certificate (TEC)
