The United Nurses Associations of California/Union of Health Care Professionals (UNAC/UHCP) is the largest nurses’ union in Southern California representing over 22,000 Registered Nurses and other health care professionals, including Optometrists; Pharmacists; Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists; Nurse Midwives; Social Workers; Clinical Lab Scientists; Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners.
UNAC/UHCP is affiliated with the National Union of Hospital and Health Care Employees and the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees, AFL-CIO.

To be eligible for a scholarship the student must:
-
Be enrolled or enrolling for the upcoming Fall Term in a health care professional degree program at an accredited college, university, trade or technical school located in Southern California (defined as Kern County and all counties south of it); and
-
Be available to attend an awards banquet on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. in San Dimas, if selected as a scholarship recipient.
The scholarship may be used for study in a health care field only
