Optometry Cares^® – The AOA Foundation is again pleased to offer the $2,500 Galina Grant to one third-year student who fits the following criteria and whose paper is judged to be the best essay submitted to Optometry Cares, in accordance with the criteria listed below.

The student must:

• Be a third-year student (Class of 2014) and a member of American Optometric Student Association (AOSA).
• Be a student in good academic standing;
• Before the December 20th deadline….submit a 1,500 word paper on the following topic to Dr. Kristi Jensen (kajensen@westernu.edu ):

“Qualities I have developed through my financial planning/work experience during and/or before optometry school, that

I believe will be most useful to me in a professional optometric practice.”

All essays received by the deadline will be reviewed by the WUCO Awards Committee.  The Committee will submit one nominee to Optometry Cares, Inc.

to be evaluated by the Optometry Cares Endowment Fund Advisory Committee.  The winners will also be featured in the AOA News.
