The Susan Lindahl Memorial Scholarship was established in 1998. Susan, the wife of our founding President Joe Lindahl, passed away following a struggle with a brain tumor in 1997. This Scholarship fund was established in honor of the sacrifices Susan and Joe Lindahl under went getting PAOS off the ground and sustaining this organization in its early years.

The establishment of this Memorial Scholarship fund was to cultivate and attract young physician assistant students into the field of orthopedics. 

Requirements:

• Must be a current Physician Assistant student in a current CAAHEA/CAAHEP or ARC-PA approved program
• Must be first year student entering your second year or a second year student with an interest in orthopaedic career.
• A Letter of reference from your PA Program Director.
• Two reference letters from prior or current professors.
• Letter stating your interest in pursing an orthopaedic career along with any supporting activities, prior education, and/or experience.
• Coversheet that includes the following information -
  • Name
  • Email address
  • PA program attending
  • Anticipated year of graduation
  • Prior education if applicable
