Long Description:	The Association of Black Women Physicians (ABWP) scholarship provides assistance to female medical students who are residents of Southern California or enrolled in Southern California medical schools. The awards are based on academic merit, financial need, and commitment to the ABWP mission, "improving public health and welfare, through the advancement of knowledge concerning women and community health".
Criteria:	Must be a permanent resident of Southern California OR attending a Southern California medical school Must be a female medical student Must be in good academic standing Awards are based on financial need and academic merit
