This loan program is available to any Maine resident who has been admitted to a program of study leading to a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree.  

Priority is given to applicants who demonstrate financial need and a high likelihood of practicing in livestock veterinary medicine in an area of Maine with insufficient veterinary services.
