The State Nursing Assumption Program of Loans for Education for Nursing Faculty (SNAPLE NF) is designed to encourage persons to complete their graduate degree and serve as nursing faculty in a nursing program at an accredited California college or university.   It will pay up to a total of $25,000 on outstanding student loans over the course of three (3) academic years for teaching nursing on a full-time basis, or on a part-time basis for the equivalent of three full-time academic years.

At the time of application, a person must already have a baccalaureate degree in nursing or a field related to nursing and must not be currently teaching in nursing.
