New Dean Appointed to College of Pharmacy
Pomona, Calif. - 07/05/2006 -- Western University of Health Sciences is pleased to announce that Daniel C. Robinson, PharmD, has been selected as the new dean for the College of Pharmacy. Dr. Robinson's deanship will begin on September 1, 2006.
"I am very excited about joining Western University of Health Sciences and following in the steps of Dean Max Ray," said Robinson. "I have a great respect for the programs that have been initiated here and I look forward to building national visibility in pharmaceutical research for WesternU."

"We are confident that Dr. Robinson will successfully augment these unique programs and solidify the college and WesternU as a national leader in pharmaceutical research and practice for the 21st century and beyond."
Dr. Robinson comes to Western University of Health Sciences from Northeastern University in Boston, where he served as dean of the College of Pharmacy. He received his PharmD from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) and completed his residency at UCSF's Medical Center. Dr. Robinson received honorable mention for the Bowl of Hygeia, which is the highest award offered to a graduating pharmacy senior. He is licensed with the Board of Pharmacy in both, California and Nebraska. Additionally, Dr. Robinson holds certifications as a Basic and Advanced ACLS Instructor/Provider with the American Heart Association and as a faculty member for the American Center for Pharmaceutical Care of the American Pharmaceutical Association.
Dr. Robinson has excelled as an administrator, practitioner-educator and scholar and he is highly-regarded for community participation, faculty recruitment, augmenting research efforts and grant funding, and implementing outstanding education initiatives and curriculum.
The College of Pharmacy and the entire campus community are pleased to welcome Dr. Robinson to WesternU.
